This role involves providing daily physician management and treatment of patients at the Clinic/Practice. The physician will offer clinical services including diagnosis, treatment, and referral, and participate in establishing office policies, procedures, and medical protocols. Responsibilities include referring patients to specialists, complying with BMA/BCHS policies, utilizing program forms/computer systems for charting, adhering to case management protocols, and assisting with quality assurance and improvement plans. The physician will collaborate with Administration to ensure the program operates consistently with medical policy and professional standards. Occasional duties may fall outside regularly scheduled office hours. The role also requires maintaining appropriate telephone contact with patients, payers, and pharmacies, performing various physical exams (Routine, DOT, Post-Offer, Executive, CDL, Annual, School/Sport), and potentially serving as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) for drug screens or Director for on-site Laboratory services. Key accountabilities include daily patient management and treatment, directing clinical services, performing physical exams, maintaining patient contact, compliance with policies and protocols, and participation in quality assurance and improvement initiatives. The position also involves working with administration on policies and procedures, providing feedback on treatment protocols, and participating in community events and public relations.
