Physician - PRN General Anesthesiologist
About The Position
Ochsner Health is seeking a PRN General Anesthesiologist to join the North Shore Anesthesia group. This role will provide coverage for Covington ASC, Slidell East, Slidell Main, and Hancock, with responsibilities including basic Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Cardiac anesthesia. The position is part of the Department of Anesthesiology, which boasts a fully accredited residency program and multiple fellowship programs. The department is a large, comprehensive group with over 70 Anesthesiologists, 100 CRNAs, and more than 30 house staff, handling over 52,000 cases annually. Ochsner Medical Center - North Shore is a 165-bed acute care hospital offering a wide range of services, including surgical and cardiac care, pediatric intensive care, physical therapy, and sleep disorder treatment. The North Shore region, a suburb of New Orleans, is known for its family-friendly community, excellent school system, and proximity to New Orleans' amenities.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Anesthesiology
- Comfortable working with community and Ochsner surgeons and proceduralists
- Capable of developing excellent medical staff relationships
- Commitment to using comprehensive electronic medical records (Epic)

Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia coverage for basic Pediatrics, OB, and Cardiac cases at Covington ASC, Slidell East, Slidell Main, and Hancock.

- Develop and maintain excellent medical staff relationships.
- Utilize comprehensive electronic medical records (Epic) for patient care documentation.
