About The Position

This is a Primary Care / Family Medicine physician role for a Locum Tenens position in North Chesterfield, VA (Richmond Area). The service setting is outpatient, and the reason for coverage is supplemental. The coverage period is from September 7th and ongoing, requiring full-time clinical coverage. The shift schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with an expected patient volume of 25 patients per day. Phone consults are as needed. The practice is 100% outpatient primary care, working within a multidisciplinary primary care team and supported by multidisciplinary community health center staff. A specialist referral network is available for backup. The case mix includes preventive care, acute illness, chronic disease management, family medicine, community health, and health maintenance. Procedures include physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, medication management, ordering/interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies, referrals, preventive medicine, behavioral health integration, patient education, and healthcare maintenance. The office is equipped with standard outpatient clinic equipment. The EMR system is not specified. Bilingual candidates are preferred. Providers may be assigned to any of three clinic locations within the Richmond, VA area based on operational needs. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
