About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Zionsville, IN is seeking a Physician Practice Coordinator for their Family and Pediatrics Medicine department. This role operates Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The coordinator will lead the front-of-house team, providing daily guidance and mentorship to patient coordinators to ensure service standards are met. They will orchestrate daily patient flow by managing staff assignments and troubleshooting scheduling issues. A key responsibility is mastering the clinical intake process, acting as the expert liaison for complex insurance authorizations and registration issues. The role also involves supporting operational excellence by coordinating with physicians and clinical staff to align front desk activities with medical priorities.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

CCMA or clinical experience
Billing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities
