Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a BE/BC Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join an established practice in Fargo, North Dakota. This is an opportunity to develop a broad and rewarding plastic surgery practice within a Level I Trauma Center and major regional referral center serving a catchment area of more than one million people. The position offers a diverse mix of reconstructive and elective surgery, with the flexibility to develop areas of practice that reflect the successful candidate's training and clinical interests. Microsurgical training and experience are welcomed but are not required. Join an established practice with two plastic surgeons and two advanced practice providers. Practice within a Level I Trauma Center and tertiary regional referral center. Broad practice encompassing reconstructive, breast, general plastic, cosmetic, and post-bariatric surgery. Significant opportunities for complex soft-tissue and oncologic reconstruction. Collaborative and combined cases with surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, orthopedic surgery, trauma surgery, and other specialties. Opportunity for breast reconstruction, including both implant-based and autologous techniques according to the surgeon's training and interests. Opportunity for extremity reconstruction and limb salvage. For surgeons with microsurgical expertise, opportunities are available for free-tissue transfer and microsurgical breast and extremity reconstruction. Flexibility to develop a practice reflecting the surgeon's individual expertise and professional interests. Balanced mixture of inpatient and outpatient care. Modern clinic and hospital facilities with advanced surgical equipment. Regional catchment area exceeding one million. Call approximately 10 days per month. Opportunities to teach medical students, surgical residents, and other trainees.
