About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Physiatrist to meet the growing demand for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation services at their FPN Rehabilitation & Spine Specialists Indianapolis location. The Franciscan team offers both inpatient and outpatient physiatry services, providing continuity of care from inpatient admission through discharge to a Skilled Nursing Facility or Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation, as well as in the outpatient clinic setting. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and compassionate Physiatrist who will join a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals like physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists. The role focuses on providing patient-centered care to improve functional ability and quality of life for patients with conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders, neurological injuries, and chronic pain. The candidate should have a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a desire to build strong community ties and long-lasting patient relationships. The team also supports specific rehab program development (e.g., cancer/cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation) and the growth of interventional or diagnostic procedures.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Physiatrist
  • Doctorate
  • Physician License (DR) upon hire
  • Board Certification in Specialty Discipline (or eligibility if appropriate) upon hire
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association upon hire
  • Highly motivated and compassionate
  • Strong focus on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Desire to develop strong ties with the community and build long-lasting relationships with patients

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient consultation services.
  • Conduct outpatient clinic services and procedures.
  • Manage comprehensive specialty programs focused on stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, orthopedic/musculoskeletal, pain, and neuromuscular disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists.
  • Provide patient-centered care focused on improving the functional ability and quality of life of patients with various conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders, neurological injuries, and chronic pain.
  • Participate in specific rehab program development, such as cancer/cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Support growing interventional or diagnostic procedures.
