About The Position

Presbyterian Healthcare Services, a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New Mexico, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatrician to join their growing team in Ruidoso, NM. This position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with a 4-day work week option, call duties, and an average patient volume of 15-25 patients per day. The role involves making professional medical judgments, managing patient relationships, participating in system-wide health initiatives, and contributing to the practice site's performance. Requirements

  • Must be BC/BE in Pediatrics
  • Outstanding patient care qualities, highly motivated with an interest to grow their practice
  • Patient-focused and willing to collaborate and work in a team environment
  • Ability to obtain a medical license to practice in the state of New Mexico
  • M.D. /D.O.
  • Board-eligible or certified with State of New Mexico Medical License.

Responsibilities

  • Make all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen.
  • Manage the physician/patient relationship.
  • Participate in system wide health management initiatives.
  • Provide input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards.
  • Receive and resolve patient complaints.
  • Participate in the recruitment and replacement of other providers.
  • Consults with and advises other providers regarding optimal and cost-effective treatment of pediatric patients.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops.
