About The Position

Excellent Opportunity for a Pediatrician interested in joining our dynamic team! This role involves providing comprehensive pediatric primary care services for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Responsibilities include performing preventive care visits, well-child examinations, developmental screenings, and immunizations. The physician will diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric illnesses and conditions, and provide patient and family education. Accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) is essential. The role also requires coordinating care with specialists, hospitals, schools, and community agencies, and participating in quality improvement initiatives and population health programs. Specific duties include nursery rounding, newborn admissions, assessments, discharge planning, and parent/guardian education. The physician will identify and manage routine neonatal conditions, coordinate specialty care when needed, and collaborate with obstetric, nursing, and hospital teams for safe newborn care. Participation in newborn nursery call coverage is also required. Additionally, the position involves serving as a faculty educator and mentor for Family Medicine residents, providing direct supervision during pediatric continuity clinics and newborn nursery rotations, and delivering educational sessions. Evaluating resident performance, participating in curriculum development, scholarly activities, and residency program initiatives are key aspects of the role. The physician will support residency accreditation requirements, promote evidence-based medicine, professionalism, and lifelong learning, and participate in departmental and program meetings. Maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and engaging in continuous professional development are also expected. The role fosters a collaborative environment among healthcare professionals and includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice.
Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.
Current medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics, or board eligible.

Act 73 FBI Clearance
Current DEA Registration
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
