Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong clinical knowledge in pediatric respiratory diseases, with experience in the management of chronic respiratory conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children and their families.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred, but newly trained fellows are encouraged to apply.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Knowledge of advanced diagnostic tools and treatment modalities in pediatric pulmonology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation and care for children with pulmonary diseases, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, and other respiratory disorders.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, including patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, therapy options, and ongoing patient education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients with complex needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in pediatric pulmonology and integrate best practices into clinical care.
  • Educate and guide patients’ families regarding care plans, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research within the pediatric pulmonology department.
