About The Position

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified, fellowship-trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist on a per diem basis in Sacramento, California. The role involves joining a small, collaborative department with two full-time pediatric ophthalmologists and one optometrist. The practice will be in a modern, well-equipped clinic with advanced technology and supported by an experienced staff. A strong referral network is in place, ensuring a steady clinical practice. There is also an opportunity to support a tertiary care children's center for limited inpatient consultative needs. Candidates with specific interest in ROP coverage are encouraged to apply, offering coverage for Northern California's largest NICU with team support. This position offers maximum flexibility and work-life balance, with flexible scheduling, no Emergency Department call, no research requirements, and a generous on-call stipend. The clinic utilizes EPIC EMR and advanced practice technology.
