About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics are seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, WV, focusing on Pediatric Endocrinology. In addition to patient care, the role involves teaching medical students and residents. WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital is a 150-bed facility with comprehensive pediatric services, including a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center and the state's only pediatric cardiac surgery program and epilepsy monitoring unit. The hospital has also achieved Magnet status for nursing excellence. Morgantown is recognized for its quality of life, offering a family-friendly environment with good schools and recreational activities, and is conveniently located near Pittsburgh, PA, and within driving distance of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed a pediatrics residency program.
  • Completed an endocrinology fellowship program.
  • Board certified / eligible in pediatric endocrinology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of Pediatric Endocrinology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
