About The Position
The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is seeking candidates interested in a full-time pathologist position. Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Pathology in AP/CP or AP is required. This position is located at Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital in Dearborn, MI, and is part of a community pathology practice with a strong overall work–life balance. The practice consists of seven pathologists, three pathologist assistants, and additional support staff. The Dearborn Pathology Department processes approximately 25,000 surgical accessions annually, along with 10,000 Pap smears and 2,500 non-gynecologic cytology/FNA accessions. Corewell Health is aligned with the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, providing teaching opportunities if desired. You will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage of the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health system!
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility from the American Board of Pathology in AP/CP or AP.
- Unrestricted License - Michigan.
- MD/DO.

Responsibilities
- Process approximately 25,000 surgical accessions annually.
- Process 10,000 Pap smears annually.
- Process 2,500 non-gynecologic cytology/FNA accessions annually.
- Provide teaching opportunities if desired, in alignment with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.
- Assist in day-to-day operations with the assistance of knowledgeable practice management professionals.
- Leverage the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health system.
