About The Position

Christiana Care is searching for a Palliative Care Physician to join its talented Supportive and Palliative Care team working in ChristianaCare's Newark and Wilmington hospitals in North Delaware. Our interdisciplinary team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse navigators, chaplains, and dedicated social workers. Ideal candidates will have a primary interest in doing inpatient palliative care consults and follow-up care, collaborating with specialists and teaching learners. Interested candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be an excellent team player and educator, and committed to continuous learning and personal growth. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with occasional on-call and weekend coverage.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related applicable specialty
Subspecialty fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) from an ACGME-accredited program
Board certification or board eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent team player and educator
Committed to continuous learning and personal growth
