About The Position

Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a full-time, BC/BE Adult Headache Neurologist to join the largest multispecialty neurology group in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a unique opportunity to practice within a well-established, highly supported Headache program designed to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across the Sutter Northern California network. The specialized Headache Program is a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, and dedicated authorization coordinators. It emphasizes longitudinal outpatient management rather than consult-only care. The role involves performing a wide range of procedures, including Botox injections, Occipital nerve blocks, Trigger point injections, and SPG blocks. The position offers highly efficient procedure days with nursing support for Botox preparation and block setup. The neurologist will be part of a robust and highly subspecialized neurology group with expertise in various subspecialties. There are opportunities for teaching medical students and residents, developing an outpatient Headache clinic in Marin County, and participating in clinical research through the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute.

Requirements

  • Neurology Board Eligibility or Certification
  • Fellowship in Headache Neurology
  • UCNS Board Eligibility or Certification in Headache Medicine

Responsibilities

  • Practice within a true comprehensive care model, emphasizing longitudinal outpatient management rather than consult-only care.
  • Perform a wide range of procedures, including: Botox injections, Occipital nerve blocks, Trigger point injections, SPG blocks.
  • Participate in regular neuroscience grand rounds and multidisciplinary case conferences.
  • Teaching medical students and residents.
  • Development of an outpatient Headache clinic in Marin County.
  • Participation in clinical research through the CPMC Neuroscience Research Institute.
