The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Neurology, is seeking a full-time General Neurologist to join its dynamic team and support the department's mission of delivering the highest quality patient care while advancing teaching, research, and academic excellence. This position offers a unique opportunity to improve access to neurological care across Kansas through innovative telehealth initiatives and statewide specialty care collaboration, with a commitment to keeping care close to home whenever clinically appropriate while ensuring patients have access to the advanced specialty care available through an academic health system. Participate in the development and implementation of coordinated specialty care networks designed to improve access to high-demand neurological services across rural and underserved regions of the state of Kansas. Collaborate on statewide assessments of specialty care gaps, utilizing population health data to optimize care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and inform scalable best practices for neurological services. Partner with health system and community stakeholders to advance physician integration, care coordination, and workforce development initiatives that strengthen local healthcare delivery, support community-based services, and improve access to neurological diagnostic and therapeutic resources. Dedicate a portion of clinical effort to providing telehealth neurology services that expand access to specialty care for rural and underserved communities throughout Kansas. Attend on the General Neurology consult service. Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology care.
