About The Position

West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine are recruiting a Neurohospitalist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for Wheeling Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Wheeling, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical licensure.
  • Completed a Neurology residency program.
  • Board eligible/certified in Neurology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of neurology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
  • Telestroke support.
