About The Position
Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking to hire a full-time movement disorders and neurodegenerative physician to join an established group of Neurologists providing Neurology services in 2 East Bay Medical Centers. The SEBMG Neurology Department provides 24/7 coverage for ER and hospital inpatients. This includes coverage for a comprehensive stroke center. SEBMG is a rapidly growing multi-specialty medical group whose physicians and advanced practice clinicians work in 10 care centers and 4 hospitals in the San Francisco East Bay. SEBMG is affiliated with Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation, a not-for-profit health care organization providing operational and administrative support to the medical group.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Eligible
- Possess active and unrestricted California Medical License
- Current DEA license
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Parkinson’s experience strongly preferred, including deep brain stimulator programming and botulinum toxin injections for dystonia.
Responsibilities
- Care for a large number of patients with Parkinson’s disease as well as other movement disorders.
- Deep brain stimulator programming, neurotoxin injections for dystonia, use of subcutaneous medication pumps.
- Assist in management of patients with dementia of various causes.
- Teaching of internal medicine residents (compensated).
