The Physician Network Administrator collaborates with the Vice-President of Physician Services to develop and implement the mission and strategic vision of designated practices. This role involves recommending, developing, and implementing improvements for the practices, and providing leadership in developing, planning, implementing, and communicating business plans to providers and practice staff. The administrator functions as a liaison between employed providers, practice staff, the physician billing office, and Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) Accounting and Administration departments. Key responsibilities include ensuring practices capture generated revenue, maintaining compliance with coding, billing, and HIPAA regulations, and establishing operating policies and procedures. The role also involves preparing documentation for CME travel and expenses, managing non-provider staff retention and development, resolving administrative and operational problems, enhancing operational effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. Additionally, the administrator is responsible for adhering to cash handling controls, managing outstanding A/R, controlling clinic expenses, and maintaining professional development.
