About The Position

Benefis Health System, a regional tertiary trauma center, has a new opportunity for a Nephrologist to join our team in an established practice in Great Falls, Montana providing comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions. This role works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings. The practice is seeking to hire a Nephrologist to join the current team of 1 Nephrologist (departing), 1 Nurse Practitioner and support staff. The opportunity allows for practice in all aspects of nephrology including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and CRRT. The role involves close collaboration with hospitalists, intensivists, interventional radiologists, and other specialists to manage complex cases. Additionally, there is an opportunity to teach and mentor internal medicine residents and medical students. Call is 1 in 3 with an average hospital census of 8-16 patients. The clinic is conveniently located within a 3-minute walk of the inpatient hospital floors and is accessible via a skybridge.

Requirements

  • Nephrology specialty.
  • Ability to practice all aspects of nephrology including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and CRRT.
  • Ability to work closely with hospitalists, intensivists, interventional radiologists, and other specialists to manage complex cases.
  • Ability to teach and mentor internal medicine residents and medical students.
  • Must be able to participate in a 1 in 3 call schedule.
  • Must be able to manage an average hospital census of 8-16 patients.
