About The Position

The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients. This role involves developing and cultivating positive and productive working relationships, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage. The physician will demonstrate a commitment to service and distinctive, personalized care with both internal and external customers, while striving to exceed customer expectations. They will assist in meeting operational, financial, and patient satisfaction goals, and ensure timely completion of all specific competencies and annual organizational mandatories. The role requires assessing and monitoring the medical needs of patients, providing quality medical services in a cost-effective and appropriate manner, and ensuring coverage of caseload at all times. Regular communication with patients’ families, referring physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and other hospital departments regarding the plan of care and treatment of patients is essential. Medical services must be documented in the patient’s medical record in a manner consistent with hospital, payor, and regulatory standards. The physician will participate in on-call and weekend coverage, value-based reimbursement programs, quality initiatives, Quality Improvement (QI) / Quality Assurance (QA) and peer review activities as requested. They will also assist in the development of policies and procedures related to medical practice and quality patient care, and participate in ongoing process improvement activities. Support for patient participation in clinical trials and research projects, including assessment of clinical safety and efficacy data, is also part of the role. Additionally, the physician will provide oversight, teaching, and mentorship of fellows, residents, APPs, and students.

Requirements

• Doctorate
• LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• Or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
• CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
