About The Position

Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) seeks to hire a BE/BC Medical Oncologist to join our growing and collaborative team in Berkeley, CA. This role is embedded within the Sutter-Stanford Joint Venture Cancer Center (SMSHCC), a state-of-the-art, fully integrated cancer center bringing together multidisciplinary oncology clinics, advanced infusion services, radiation oncology, an ambulatory surgery center (ASC), and comprehensive supportive services in one location. This model enables coordinated, seamless care, real-time multidisciplinary collaboration, and enhanced access to advanced therapies. This is a malignant hematology-dominant role with a focus on expanding cellular therapy programs, including CAR-T and related therapies, and managing complex hematologic malignancies. Candidates may also maintain a focused solid tumor subspecialty practice (GI, Breast, GU, Thoracic) based on training and interest. This role offers the opportunity to scale an established cellular therapy program and help develop a regional center of excellence in oncology within Sutter East Bay. The physician will partner across the cancer service line and joint venture to align care pathways, expand access, and advance multidisciplinary care delivery. Active participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case conferences, including collaboration with Stanford colleagues through the joint venture structure. You will join a collaborative group of 7 hematology/oncology physicians in a multidisciplinary environment with strong engagement across specialties. This model supports shared expertise, participation in tumor boards, and collaboration with Stanford colleagues, as well as engagement in system-level quality and pathway initiatives.

Requirements

MD or DO (or equivalent)
Board Certified/Eligible in Medical Oncology
Eligible for California medical licensure

Nice To Haves

Fellowship training in BMT/cellular therapy

Responsibilities
