About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Oncology Physician to join a growing group of physicians in Dickinson, North Dakota. This role will be based in a newly built "Super Clinic" equipped with a Same Day Surgery Center, infusion center, lab/radiology, mobile MRI, and CT Scanner. The physician will serve a large referral area encompassing western North Dakota, eastern Montana, and northern North Dakota. The position offers the opportunity to join a supportive administration that fosters innovation and a collaborative environment with other primary care and specialty providers.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Internal Medicine residency program.
  • Completion of a Hematology or Oncology fellowship or integrated Hematology and Medical Oncology Program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their fellowship training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
  • Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services for at least 50 patients in the last 12 months.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Training at residency and fellowship programs accredited by organizations other than the ACGME, AOA, or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy.
  • More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients adolescence to adult with all types of cancer and other benign and malignant tumors.
  • Admit patients if applicable to the setting.
  • Provide consultation to patients.
