About The Position

Groups is a leading outpatient provider specializing in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, committed to supporting underserved communities affected by the opioid crisis. Requirements

Active, Unencumbered State License (MD/DO) in Iowa
Active, Individual DEA with address listed in Iowa
Minimum 1 year direct experience prescribing Buprenorphine required (with Proof of Completion of 8hr. Training as required by the DEA of previous DEAX designation).
Hospital Admitting Privileges required.
Iowa Residency Required.

Board Certification in Addiction Medicine Preferred; other specialties welcome to apply with experience.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting intakes, seeing patients after an extensive evaluation by a counselor.
Monitor patients' clinical progress during regular group counseling sessions, answering questions and managing medication dosing.
Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
Complete all notes and reporting in the Groups EMR system within the required timeline, following strict protocols for clinical decision-making and medical management.
