About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for a Physician specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM). The role involves providing coverage for high-risk pregnancies, managing complex maternal and fetal conditions, and performing various procedures. The physician will work Monday to Friday, with additional call responsibilities on weekdays and weekends. The facility utilizes EPIC and Viewpoint for documentation and has a dedicated support staff including nurse practitioners, RNs, sonographers, and genetic counselors. The patient volume is approximately 27 per day, with 95% of pregnancies being high-risk.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM).
- Fellowships and VA licensure are essential.
- BLS and AIUM Certification required.
- Availability for 1-2 weeks of ongoing coverage per month.
- Must provide a self-query NPDB report at the time of application submission.

- Proficient in cerclage.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for high-risk pregnancies.
- Manage conditions such as pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and genetic disorders.
- Perform procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage (preferred).
- Manage both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, especially with fetal or maternal co-morbidities.
- Provide 24-hour call coverage on weekends and night call on weekdays.
- Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, RN clinic educators, sonographers, genetic counselors, and front office teams.
