About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology seek a Liver Transplant Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The Department of Anesthesiology is committed to excellence and innovation in education and provides anesthesia care for over 40,000 procedures per year. The WVU Medicine Transplant Alliance is West Virginia’s first and only multi-organ transplant center, offering exceptional, patient-centered organ transplant care. Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed an anesthesiology residency program.
• Demonstrated interest and/or experience in liver transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and complex perioperative care.
• Board certified / eligible in Anesthesiology.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training in Transplant Anesthesiology, Critical Care, or another relevant subspecialty will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the areas of specialty/training.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
