Physician Liaison
About The Position
The Physician Liaison is responsible for developing and growing relationships with physician practices, independent health care providers, and the physician staff. We are seeking a motivated Physician Liaison to join our Kansas City, MO team. This field-based position serves as the primary connection between Giving Home Health Care, our patients, and their healthcare providers. The ideal candidate combines medical-office knowledge with strong relationship-building and sales skills. This individual must be comfortable meeting with physicians and clinical staff, attending patient appointments, communicating persuasively, managing a high volume of paperwork, and following requests through to completion. This position requires independence, consistent follow-up, local and regional travel, and a strong commitment to achieving measurable results.
Requirements

- Experience with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Responsibilities
- Contact physician offices and demonstrating the highest level of customer service and respect to build a partnership with a physician that patients may be referred to.
- Learn program policies and procedures, billing processes, and other functions of Giving Home Health Care.
- Provide information and training to medical offices.
- Perform daily prospecting, rapport building, and conducting follow ups. Develop outreach strategies and target lists to manage/document ongoing physician outreach activity.
- Continually develop medical knowledge to effectively engage with healthcare professionals.
- Communicate urgency to physicians to assess patients and start process to have illnesses approved or declined for program.
