About The Position

The Physician Liaison supports and implements the marketing strategic plan and establishes, maintains, and grows relationships between providers and/or physician practices and US Wound Care and Hyperbaric Centers. The Physician Liaison executes initiatives related to increasing loyalty and preference to USWC. Liaison activities include communicating with and educating physicians, providers, and office staff for the purpose of relationship development, identification of service improvement opportunities, market intelligence and increasing awareness of USWC services.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience in marketing to physician offices
  • Existing physician relationships in the Ft. Worth area.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in medical sales, marketing, or Public Relations role
  • General knowledge and understanding of the wound care and HBOT industry, as well as familiarity with the local market.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, to include presentation skills in a group setting or in a one-on-one basis.
  • Outstanding customer service, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to be a self- starter.
  • Ability to maintain clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or another related field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (CRM) system

Responsibilities

  • Participates in initiatives to build volume and favorable provider perceptions in the market.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with assigned physicians and office staff, provides education on USWC services and how to access them.
  • Identifies, monitors and documents relationship histories, including details of contacts and meetings with providers and staff, by maintaining a relationship and contact management database.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing communication with providers and/or office staff, including routine and follow-up visits, educational opportunities, physician alignment, etc.
  • Serves as primary contact for service recovery issues, complaints, or concerns, follows through as necessary for resolution and ensures all parties are provided follow-up communication.
  • Actively seeks new physician contacts in the assigned territory. Monitors changes in physician office locations and affiliations.
  • Adheres to budgetary guidelines and ensures cost effectiveness in all activities.
  • Develops meaningful relationships with internal key contacts and opinion leaders including center directors, nursing staff, HBO staff, front office staff, other liaisons, and senior leadership.
  • Coordinates visits with medical directors and/or CMO as appropriate.
  • Utilizes reports in EMR to monitor new patient referrals, appointments, HBO treatments, and other key volume indicators.
  • Works with USWC marketing team to develop and maintain marketing materials, promo items, websites describing services. Assists in development of collateral pieces and forms, as appropriate.
  • Maintains knowledge and adheres to Stark, anti-kickback, and IRS regulations to protect the organization and minimize risk regarding regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Assists in unassigned markets/territories from time-to-time based on the business needs of the organization.
  • Represents USWC at community events.
  • Submits weekly and monthly summary reports to leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
