Colorado Permanente Medical GroupDenver, CO

About The Position

Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible, full-time Interventional Radiology Physician to join our team. We are an independent department with CPMG, separate from the Diagnostic Radiology department. We have a strong clinical practice that encompasses almost all facets of IR and expect our new hire to be comfortable with clinical decision-making, multitasking, and being a good communicator with all members of the IR group, CPMG, referring providers, support staff, and patients. Our practice sites include a transplant center hospital, an outpatient clinic, an outpatient lab, and additional outpatient US and CT procedure rooms. A new KP ASC is expected to come online in 2028. Proficiency, speed, and quality of work are paramount qualities a successful candidate will possess. Previous private practice experience is a bonus. This position is 100% IR with no diagnostic radiology responsibilities. 9-10-hour workdays, ~7:30-5:30, with the expectation that all cases will be completed the same day at the hospitals by the staffing MDs. Call MD covers after-hours emergency add-ons. Weekend call from 5 PM Friday to 7 AM Monday. Call is divided equally per FTE. Days off are determined as a group (more specific details can be provided during the interview). All non-neurointerventional procedures from basic biopsies/fluid drainages and vascular access to TIPS, vertebral augmentation/MSK intervention, interventional oncology, prostate embolization, and other endovascular interventions. We do not perform LPs and joint aspirations. The vast majority of IR procedures are performed by all current members of the group and will be expected to be performed by the new hire. We have an agreement with CPMG to provide IR services for all KP patients 24/7/365 at the above sites for this salary position, and the new hire should be comfortable with that philosophy. They should be collegial, collaborative, hard-working, efficient, and comfortable with the KP Triple Aims. We have a very busy practice that depends on all our members to function smoothly and to maintain our work/life balance. The general expectation is that members of the group will help each other as needed and should feel comfortable asking for help/advice when needed. Although we are on separate campuses, we can easily review and discuss cases.
