Physician - Interventional Cardiology (TMH)
About The Position
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek an Interventional Cardiologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Charleston, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. The successful candidate will practice in the areas of general and interventional cardiology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate may also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible for state medical license.
- Completed an interventional cardiology fellowship program.
- Board certified / eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the areas of general and interventional cardiology.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- May be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, which may involve travel.
