About The Position

Main Line HealthCare is recruiting a PRN ICU Nocturnist Hospitalist to join their expanding Division of Hospital Medicine. This is an opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, academic ICU environment within a large, mission-driven health system committed to high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care. The role is well-suited for physicians with strong critical care skills who are interested in overnight ICU management, resident education, and collaborative multidisciplinary practice. The successful candidate will have a primary hospital assignment at Lankenau Medical Center, providing overnight ICU coverage in a closed ICU model, while collaborating closely with Internal Medicine resident teams and an on-call Pulmonary/Critical Care fellow. Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
  • DEA license and ACLS certification required
  • Eligible for ICU privileges and medical staff appointment
  • Strong interest in academic medicine and resident education
  • Comfortable managing ventilated, critically ill patients and emergency responses

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospitalist or ICU experience preferred
  • Pulmonary/Critical Care or Cardiology fellowship a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-house overnight ICU physician coverage
  • Manage ICU admissions, cross-coverage, and urgent/emergent clinical situations
  • Collaborate with Internal Medicine resident teams and support overall ICU patient flow
  • Lead and respond to Codes, Rapid Responses, and Stroke Alerts
  • Perform or supervise ICU-appropriate procedures within scope of privileges
  • Communicate effectively with nursing, Pulmonary/Critical Care, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide bedside teaching, supervision, and mentorship to residents
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation and billing in Epic
