About The Position

The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is seeking a physician to provide care in its fast-growing Hypermobility Clinic. This role requires exceptional professionalism and a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion. The ideal candidate will have burgeoning clinical expertise or a strong interest in hypermobility disorders. This provider will collaborate with the director of the hypermobility clinic and the multidisciplinary team to care for adolescents up to age 24 with hypermobility disorders. A joint appointment in another clinical division may be possible, depending on the physician's other clinical areas of focus and board eligibility or certification. The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, founded in 1960, comprises a diverse and talented multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving adolescent health outcomes through exceptional clinical programs, impactful research, innovative educational initiatives, and strong academic and community partnerships. Clinical services include a hospital-based primary care practice and a consultative practice addressing various adolescent health issues such as eating disorders, mental health disorders, LGBTQ+ health, HIV care, substance use disorder, and sexual and reproductive health. They also provide care at the city’s juvenile detention center, with a new program in young men’s health launching soon. The division boasts a robust, externally funded research program, with 25% of faculty holding external research funding. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, or Family Medicine.
  • 3-7 years of clinical experience post residency.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical care.
  • Interest or experience in leadership, education, and/or research.

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adolescent Medicine is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care in the Hypermobility Clinic to adolescents up to the age of 24 with hypermobility disorders.
