About The Position

WellSpan Medical Group seeks a full-time Physician, Hospitalist for their WellSpan Chambersburg and Waynesboro Hospital locations in Franklin County. The individual will provide continual oversight and longitudinal care of hospitalized patients in medical wards, acute care units, and intensive care units. They will also provide ongoing management and coordination of patient care throughout treatment, and diagnose and provide non-surgical treatment of diseases and injuries to hospital patients. Typically manages 14 to 18 patients per shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of medicine with Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree.
• Completion of internal medicine residency training program.
• PA medical license.
• Board certified/eligible in internal medicine.
• Diplomate of a specialty appropriate Board.
• Completion of a specialty appropriate residency.
• Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching skills (if assigned to York Hospital).

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital-based clinical and administrative services involving primary medical care to patients in an internal medicine practice setting.
