About The Position
Serve as a hospitalist providing medical care to adult inpatients as part of a shared call or rotation schedule. Admit, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients from the affiliated hospital. Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and case management to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary rounds. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal or Family Medicine.
- Valid medical license to practice in Illinois or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong clinical skills in infectious disease diagnosis and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
