About The Position

The Adult Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive, inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting. This role focuses on the management of acute and chronic medical conditions, coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes throughout hospitalization.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Current medical license in each state of practice.
  • State Controlled Substance License (if required by State)
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine; or Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine; or equivalent (American Osteopathic Board, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada).
  • BC/BE Nocturnal Hospitalists

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive, inpatient care for adult patients in a hospital setting.

  • Teaching opportunities of residents and medical students in internal medicine, podiatry, psychiatry and transitional year programs, through the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
