About The Position

Ochsner Health in Slidell, LA is seeking physicians to join our hospitalist team. BC/BE Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians are welcomed to apply. Hospital Medicine was established at Ochsner in 1992 and has a stable 50+ member group. The role offers a 7 on 7 off block schedule with flexibility, dedicated nocturnists, and a base salary plus up to 40K in incentives. The average census is 14-18 patients, with E-ICU intensivist support and open ICUs at community hospitals. Physicians will utilize the EPIC medical record system with remote access capabilities and work with dedicated RN and Social Work Clinical Care Coordinators. This position offers a community-based academic appointment and opportunities for leadership development, research, and teaching residents and medical students. Skilled nursing and long-term acute care facilities are also seeking hospitalists and mid-levels with an interest in geriatrics. Requirements

BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians.
Ability to manage an average census of 14-18 patients.
Proficiency with EPIC medical record system.
Willingness to work a 7 on 7 off block schedule with flexibility.
Interest in geriatrics is a plus for skilled nursing and long-term acute care facilities.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care as part of the hospitalist team.
