About The Position

St. Luke’s is seeking a full-time General Surgeon to join their team in McCall, Idaho. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish a broad, community-based surgical practice in a scenic mountain setting. The position is supported by a dedicated local care team and benefits from extended surgical expertise provided by the Acute Care Surgery group in Boise. The practice encompasses "bread and butter" general surgery with an option to include endoscopy procedures, though this is not required. The setting is a Trauma Level IV, with collaboration from skilled Emergency Department colleagues and a strong interdisciplinary approach. Clinic support includes an RN, MA, and office manager. St. Luke’s McCall is a 15-bed critical access hospital serving the McCall area, offering 24/7 emergency care, inpatient/outpatient services, surgical care, maternal and childbirth services, and hospice care. McCall provides a rural community practice environment with access to year-round outdoor recreation, a close-knit care team, and the chance to make a significant impact.

Requirements

• Full-time commitment (1,472 hours per year).
• Board certified or eligible in General Surgery.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Idaho.
