About The Position

System Medical Group seeks a Gastroenterologist to practice in the primary location of Colliers Way Professional Plaza- 701 Colliers Way Weirton, WV. The GI and Hepatology service line of professionals offer a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, treats a medically diverse population, and has exposure to clinically challenging cases. We have a new and expanding endoscopy center including state-of-the-art suites for advanced procedures and ERCPs, as well as close access to adjacent specialty clinics. The WVU Health System Medical Group formed in 2021 and has since grown to 900 physicians and advanced practice providers. Caregivers affiliated with the group practice in all 25 WVU Medicine hospitals and clinics. The group’s physicians serve in a variety of specialties and subspecialties – from primary care to advanced specialty care – and work in tandem with the WVU faculty practice plan.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligible for state medical license.
• Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program.
• Completed a gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board eligible/board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
