About The Position

Essentia Health Brainerd is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join their team. This integrated health system includes a 165-bed hospital, St. Joseph's Medical Center, and a multi-specialty group of over 100 physicians representing 25 medical specialties across 7 locations. The Brainerd area offers abundant outdoor recreational activities, community festivals, award-winning golf courses, excellent schools, fine dining, distinct shopping, and a vibrant arts and theatre program. The practice consists of a current team of 1 MD and 2 APPs, with 70% of the work involving endoscopy, 20% clinic, and 10% inpatient. All admissions are managed by the IM hospitalist service. Call is one weekend a month and one night a week. This role offers the ability to practice general gastroenterology with no buy-in, malpractice, overhead, or seniority issues.

• BC/BE Gastroenterology

Responsibilities

• Perform 70% endoscopy procedures.
• Conduct 20% clinic appointments.
• Manage 10% inpatient care.
• Participate in call rotation (1 weekend a month, 1 night a week).
