Physician Family or Internal Medicine- Comprehensive Care Center
About The Position
Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician or Family Practice Physician to provide outpatient primary care services at its Comprehensive Care Center. The physician must be experienced in working in a diverse environment and be flexible, knowledgeable, and compassionate toward patients. The role offers the opportunity to work in a warm, caring atmosphere where patient health is a top priority. The physician adheres to high standards of medical ethics and clinical practice, ensures quality of care, participates in peer review and quality assurance programs, and shares phone-triage responsibilities with other physicians. The physician may establish hospital affiliations or privileges, represent Clinica Sierra Vista in professional groups, and assist the Chief Medical Officer with healthcare programs and protocols. The role also requires supervising assigned advanced practice providers, both onsite and by telephone for outlying clinic sites. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., four 10-hour shifts. Clinica Sierra Vista is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving patients at health centers in Fresno and Kern counties and offering services across primary care and other health disciplines.
Requirements
- MD or DO.
- Experience working in a diverse environment.
- Flexibility, knowledge, and compassion in caring for patients.
- Ability to supervise assigned advanced practice providers onsite and by telephone.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient primary care services.
- Adhere to the highest standards of medical ethics.
- Assure quality of care for all patients and regularly participate in clinic Peer Review and Quality Assurance Programs.
- Comply with Bureau of Primary Healthcare standards of clinical practice.
- Share phone-triage responsibilities with other Clinica Sierra Vista physicians.
- Establish and maintain affiliations and/or privileges with local hospitals if needed.
- Represent Clinica Sierra Vista in professional groups when needed.
- Assist the Chief Medical Officer with the design, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare programs and protocols for patients and staff when needed.
- Supervise assigned advanced practice providers, including Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants, onsite and by telephone for outlying clinic sites.

- Base salary of $260,000, commensurate with experience.
