About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division seeks a Family Medicine Physician for an Outpatient Position (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Berkeley Springs, WV. The West Virginia University Health System is the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprising 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. It also includes five institutes and provides management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements. The WVU Health System has more than 2,400 licensed beds, 3,900 providers, and nearly 30,000 employees. Anchored by a 700-bed academic medical center in Morgantown, the Health System includes more than 20 member hospitals that collectively serve a multi-state region that includes West Virginia, Western Maryland, Eastern Ohio, and Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• State medical license, and DEA registration required by start date.
• Completed a Family Medicine residency program.
• Board certified / eligible in Family Medicine.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the areas of Family Medicine.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
