About The Position

This is a clinical and teaching position within a Family Medicine residency-based clinic in Minneapolis, focusing on holistic, integrative, and functional primary care medicine. The practice has been operating since 2010 and currently includes 3 providers. In addition to 1:1 patient care visits (both in-clinic and virtual), the role involves conducting group medical visits, teaching residents, and administering the Integrative Medicine in Residency curriculum from the Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. The position is primarily based at the Whittier Clinic, one of seven clinic locations in Minneapolis and surrounding suburban communities served by Hennepin Healthcare. The patient population is ethnically and economically diverse. Hospital work and call are optional.

Requirements

Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Minnesota or be eligible for licensure.
Board certified in Family Medicine.
Current DEA Certificate or be eligible for certificate.
Certified by Institute for Functional Medicine or Fellowship trained in Integrative Medicine (ABOIM boarded or eligible).
Will consider status of being “in training” for any of the above.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 patient care visits in the clinic and virtually.
Conduct group medical visits.
Teach residents.
Administer the Integrative Medicine in Residency curriculum from the Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.
Participate in Lifestyle Medicine selective with first-year residents.
Teach broad scope of family medicine including evidence-informed integrative and functional/lifestyle medicine.
Provide resident advising.
Contribute to provider well-being.
