About The Position

The position is responsible for performing history and physicals of patients on admission, annual physicals, dictating discharge summaries, sick call on the unit assigned, suturing minor lacerations, prescribing medications, and ordering lab work. The role involves working 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with some extended work (call hours) on a rotating basis required. This position is designated as mandatory and requires reporting or staying over during adverse weather events. Cherry Hospital is a State-of-the-Art Psychiatric hospital located in Goldsboro, North Carolina, serving the 38 most eastern counties of North Carolina with a mission to serve those with the greatest need and the fewest resources. Requirements

Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the North Carolina Medical Board or approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board.
