About The Position

Sanford Clinic is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Endocrinologist to join a successful, well-established group in Bismarck, ND. This is a high-volume practice in an educational and management environment, offering the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload. Pediatric Endocrinology visits Bismarck twice a month, and there is a broad referral base spanning across Western ND. A diabetes educator is available Monday through Saturday (8 am-4 pm) and Sunday (8 am-12 pm). The practice fosters a culture of innovation and supportive administration, with a current team of 1 physician and 2 APPs.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
Successful completion of a fellowship in Endocrinology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their fellowship training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
Demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months.
Demonstrate active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months.

Quality profile from hospital(s) where currently has privileges showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, to include number of procedures performed-morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications.
Documentation of clinic activity for the last 12 months if a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges.

Responsibilities

Perform history and physical examination.
Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
Provide treatment or consultative services.
Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care for adult and adolescent patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the endocrine or metabolic system.
