About The Position

Griffin Health is seeking an Endocrinologist MD to join their team. This role involves diagnosing and managing a wide range of hormonal disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal and pituitary disorders, growth and puberty disorders, osteoporosis and calcium disorders, and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). The position requires interpreting laboratory tests and imaging, developing long-term treatment plans, monitoring chronic conditions, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals. Additionally, the role includes performing and interpreting specialized diagnostic tests, maintaining medical records, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. There is an optional component for academic and research activities, such as teaching medical students and conducting clinical research.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) Pre-med track (biology, chemistry, physics, math)
Strong academic performance (GPA)
Medical School – MD (4 years)
Residency in Internal Medicine (3 years)
Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism (2–3 years)
Pass USMLE (or equivalent national exams)
Obtain state medical license
Board Certification: American Board of Internal Medicine (Internal Medicine)
Subspecialty certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
Residency experience managing complex medical conditions
Fellowship experience with endocrine-specific cases
Experience interpreting specialized lab tests and imaging
Strong patient management skills for chronic diseases
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
Attention to detail
Long-term patient care management
Clear communication with patients and healthcare teams
Comfort with data interpretation and evidence-based medicine

Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage hormonal disorders, including: Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational), Thyroid diseases (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules), Adrenal and pituitary disorders, Growth and puberty disorders, Osteoporosis and calcium disorders, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
Interpret laboratory tests and imaging related to hormone levels
Develop long-term treatment plans (medications, hormone therapy, lifestyle guidance)
Monitor chronic conditions and adjust treatment over time
Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other specialists
Educate patients on disease management and prevention
Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic tests (e.g., hormone stimulation/suppression tests)
Maintain detailed medical records
Ensure compliance with medical and ethical standards
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Teach medical students, residents, or fellows (Optional)
Conduct clinical research and publish findings (Optional)
Stay current with advances in endocrinology (Optional)
