About The Position

Deaconess Health System is seeking a Full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join their dynamic and growing team within their Illinois Region, which includes Anna, Marion, and Red Bud, Illinois. This role involves managing approximately 18,000 annual visits, with 25-30 patients per shift. Physicians will have the option of 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am) and 24-hour shifts at select locations. Full-time is defined as 12 shifts per month (1,728 hours/year). The position includes Advanced Practice Provider support, requires holiday coverage, and is part of a robust hospital-employed physician group with both full-time and supplemental support. The Electronic Medical Record system used is EPIC.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician.
• Prior EM experience and/or EM fellowship training is required.
• J-1 Visa candidates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 18,000 annual visits.
• See 25-30 patients per shift.
• Work 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm or 7pm–7am) or 24-hour shifts at select locations.
• Provide holiday coverage.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers.
• Document using EPIC EMR system.
