About The Position

CHRISTUS Southeast Texas - St. Elizabeth CVT Surgical Associates is seeking a full-time cardiothoracic surgeon with a thoracic emphasis in Beaumont, Texas. The role is supported by a team that includes two full-time surgeons, a nurse practitioner, a medical assistant, a surgery scheduler, three front-office coordinators, two cardiovascular anesthesiologists, a cardiovascular CRNA, two registered nurses, a first assistant, and experienced scrub technicians. The practice uses an OR-centric workflow designed to maximize time in the operating room. Clinic hours are limited to one day per week and focus on surgical consultations and postoperative follow-ups. The role includes procedures such as VATS, pericardial window surgery, rib and sternal plating or sternal rewiring, CABG, open-heart surgery, thoracotomy and lung resection or lobectomy, thoracentesis, open mitral or aortic valve replacement, and TAVR. Requirements

Be American Board of Thoracic Surgery board-certified or board-eligible.
Possess a Texas medical license or be eligible for a Texas medical license.

Responsibilities

Provide cardiothoracic surgical care with a thoracic emphasis.
Perform procedures including VATS, pericardial window surgery, rib and sternal plating or sternal rewiring, CABG, open-heart surgery, thoracotomy and lung resection or lobectomy, thoracentesis, open mitral or aortic valve replacement, and TAVR.
Conduct surgical consultations and postoperative follow-ups during clinic hours, which are limited to one day per week.
