About The Position

The physician in the Cross-Cover role will work across multiple settings within the Behavioral Health department, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Consultation-Liaison Service, Child & Adolescent, and the Psychiatric Emergency Center, based on staffing needs determined by department clinical leadership. Acclaim Health (Acclaim) is a multi-specialty medical group practice comprised of over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who partner with JPS Health Network (JPS). Requirements

Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
Residency and/or Fellowship trained in Psychiatry.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to patient safety, efficiency, and equitable healthcare delivery.
Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

Coordinates multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
Reviews medical charts to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients and families.
Refer patients to appropriate services as needed.
Ensures care delivery aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group guidelines.
Provides evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Demonstrates patient-centered and value-driven behavior
Collaborates with referring physicians, residents, clinical, and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
Supports academic, educational and research initiatives, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
Participates in Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committees.
Build positive relationships with staff, partners, patients, and the community to enhance the JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group experience, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Serves as a community resource.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
