About The Position

The Physician Clinical Systems Specialist functions as an electronic medical record (EMR) system expert. They are primarily responsible for training clinicians to efficiently use the Cerner EMR and providing at-the-elbow support to clinicians throughout the hospital. The specialist will also assist in the implementation, support, and optimization of the EMR and other clinical systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to develop, maintain and collaborate with clinicians
• Ability to problem-solving and resolve conflict
• Understands clinical workflow and has the skill set to integrate technology into clinical practice
• Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
• Must serve as a model of credibility, professionalism, and customer service

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of experience in clinical hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Purposeful hospital rounding
• Providing direct support to providers and nurses to ensure end users successfully integrate the EMR into clinical workflow
• Ensuring consistent and effective use of the EMR that aligns with policy, procedure, and standards
• Creating education content to communicate and educate providers and clinicians in EMR changes, initiatives, and projects
• Regularly providing suggestions and seeking feedback from physicians and clinicians regarding the EMR, communicating such information to the Market Clinical Informatics Director
• Collaborating with the Market Clinical Informatics Director to improve physician and clinicians’ satisfaction with the EMR, promote “voice of the customer” and improve IS service and support
