The main purpose of this position is evaluating, diagnosing, admitting, treating, and making discharge and after-care plans for the patients admitted to the hospital, with the participation of the patients, most commonly of young adult age and middle age, less commonly of geriatric age, and only rarely adolescents on the deaf unit. All clinical activities and duties which include regular assignments and serving elsewhere as needed, are to be carried out in accordance with hospital policies, rules and regulations in accordance with performance improvement goals, and within the fiscal constraints mandated to the hospital. All clinical activities are to be documented in the medical record as required by hospital policies. This position supports the mission of the organization through active participation in clinical efforts to provide treatment in a recovery-oriented environment.
