About The Position

This position is working on the pediatric side of the Beatrice Women's and Children's Clinic.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma.
• Currently licensed as a practical nurse in the State of Nebraska.
• Current CPR/BLS.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assisting program.
• Currently licensed as a Medication Aide – 40 Hour in the State of Nebraska required.
• Current CPR/BLS.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Previous experience in physician clinic and experience with Electronic Medical Record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinic activities for assigned clinic and provides patient care.
• Meets the approved Standards of Practice.
• Manages supplies and equipment in the clinic.
• Promotes collaboration with physician and other health care providers.
• Rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs, and completes rooming process for patients of all ages.
• Assists nursing personnel with care of patient as directed by director/leader and/or provider within the scope of a Medical Assistant.
• Answers internal and external telephone calls for clinic and performs other clerical duties as directed.
